In Their Own Words

"Healing is a gentle and courageous journey of reclaiming the self. We honor the profound weight of what has been lost, be it a loved one, a sense of joy, or your own unmet needs, and move steadily forward to find meaning, connection, and a life that feels authentic again."

Shannon Tarolli is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. With over 11 years of experience, she works with adults and teens facing a variety of mental health conditions. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety (including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorder), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, and grief & loss.

Shannon is a strong proponent of evidence-based care, ensuring that clients are moving toward their desired outcomes. She has completed specialized training in key therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Shannon takes a client-centered approach, creating a safe and supportive space built on trust and compassion. Her goal is to help clients build resiliency, practice psychological flexibility, and develop a new, profound acceptance of their emotions.

Outside of her work, Shannon enjoys trips to the beach and spending time with her family, including her husband and two dogs, Blue and Nala. In all likelihood, they'll make a fun appearance in your session!

Grief & Loss

Support for those navigating loss of a loved one, pet, relationship, or miscarriage. Working through the weight of sadness, disconnection, and the loss of identity that accompanies profound grief — honoring the depth of love while creating a path toward meaning and healing.

OCD

Specialized treatment for intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — the gold-standard approach for OCD. Working to break the cycles that have felt impossible to escape.

Trauma

Evidence-based trauma treatment to help process difficult experiences and reduce the hold they have on your present. Creating safety, building coping skills, and gently working through what happened at a pace that feels manageable.

Anxiety

Helping clients who feel controlled by worry, avoidance, and fear. Through exposure therapy and values-based work, we gradually confront the patterns that keep you stuck and build a life that feels more authentic and within your control.

Grief Counseling

A gentle, nonjudgmental approach to processing loss that honors your unique experience. Working to make meaning from grief, maintain connection to what has been lost, and rediscover who you are in this new chapter of life.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

The gold-standard treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. Gradually and systematically facing feared situations while learning to resist compulsive responses, building lasting confidence and freedom from anxiety-driven patterns.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A structured therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their emotional intensity. Using bilateral stimulation to unlock the mind's natural healing capacity, reducing the grip of past experiences on present-day thoughts, feelings, and reactions.
