In Their Own Words
"I connect deeply with individuals who are navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or life transitions and are beginning to sense that their current struggles are connected to life experiences. Together, we build insight, strengthen self-trust, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth and a more grounded, confident sense of self."
Emily Bryant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. With experience across multiple settings, she works with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and the lasting effects of trauma or difficult life transitions.
Emily is a strong advocate for evidence-based care, drawing from therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies. She takes a warm, insight-oriented approach from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens, working alongside each client to understand their goals and develop strategies that fit their actual life.
Emily brings steadiness and genuine care to her work with clients. She values meeting people where they are and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, honesty, and practical support. Whether someone is working through a difficult season or trying to make sense of patterns that feel stuck, her focus is on helping clients move forward at a pace that feels right for them.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Social Work from Edinboro University. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, baking, taking walks outside, and spending time with her husband and son.

Key Approaches
Works With
13 and up
Anxiety
Helping clients who feel controlled by worry, avoidance, and fear. Through exposure therapy and values-based work, we gradually confront the patterns that keep you stuck and build a life that feels more authentic and within your control.
Trauma
Evidence-based trauma treatment to help process difficult experiences and reduce the hold they have on your present. Creating safety, building coping skills, and gently working through what happened at a pace that feels manageable.
Depression
Supporting individuals weighed down by loss of energy, motivation, and joy. Working gently and steadily to reconnect with values, take meaningful steps, and create a life that feels worth living — even when everything feels heavy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT centers on developing psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while committing to actions aligned with your core values — focusing on building a rich, meaningful life rather than eliminating discomfort.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT involves identifying and reshaping unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, and emotional distress. A structured, goal-oriented approach with practical skills you can apply between sessions.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is a skills-based approach that combines acceptance and change strategies to help manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce impulsive or self-destructive patterns. Building practical tools for distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
A research-backed trauma therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and integrate distressing memories, reducing their emotional charge without requiring detailed narration of events.
